Watchful Questions:

- What can I do today to let my wife know I love her?

- Are these thoughts I keep having helping or hurting my relationship with my husband? Where do I need to change my thinking?

- Have I adequately put my feelings of love into affirming words this week?

- Am I doing ____ more for me or my spouse?

- During the fight we just had, did I show distrust or disrespect toward my husband in any way? What should I do about that?

- What bids for connection has my spouse offered today? Have I responded by turning toward him or her?

- What kind of time have we invested in each other in the past day or two? Is it really enough, or are we just giving each other our leftovers?

- What have I done today to intentionally stir up my passion for my wife or my husband?

- What have I truly savored with my senses (sights, tastes, smells, or sounds) today?

- Have we really talked this week about more than functional things? Have we gotten real about how we are and what we feel about what’s happening lately?

- In our most recent disagreement, did I allow grace to be at the center of our conversation? Was I more focused on being right than on maintaining our connection?

- What do I sense that God is doing in our marriage these days? Have I communicated that to my spouse? Have I remembered to include my wife and marriage in my prayers?
