American Salars is set to expand its lithium operations in Argentina's 'lithium triangle' by acquiring a 75% interest in the Salar De Pocitos Project. This acquisition, comprising 10 tenements, will significantly increase the company's footprint in the region by 1,635%. The company intends to integrate historical data and existing drillholes to update resource estimates, aiming for commercial production. According to CEO Nick Horsley, the expansion of the Pocitos Salar constitutes a 'game changer' for the company, especially after consultation with leading lithium mining companies. The company plans to progress with scoping and feasibility studies.
