A memorial project commemorating the first anniversary of COCOA TEA's death .
COCOA TEA , a leading reggae and dancehall singer active in Jamaica and around the world since the 1980s, passed away suddenly on March 11th of last year. This album is being released as a tribute to COCOA TEA.
The track "ARIGATO" was originally released as a bonus track on the domestic CD-only album "HOT SWEET COCOA TEA" by 24x7 RECORDS (then affiliated with Teichiku Records) in 1994. As the subtitle " For all Japanese beautiful girls " suggests, it is a special song from COCOA TEA to his Japanese fans. It is a mellow lovers' tune sung over a remake of "GROW YOUR LOCKS," making full use of Japanese words like "thank you" and "goodbye." This is the first time it has been released on vinyl.
