In 1 Samuel this Sunday, we heard what happened when superstition crept into the people’s relationship with God. And let me tell you, it wasn’t pretty.
What it can become is a subtle approach to manipulate God with our behaviors or practices. In fact, at one point in the book of Isaiah, God even told his people to stop their worship because it was not backed up by a heart that truly honored Him.
This Sunday, we heard about how this looks in our own lives and how we can keep a heart for God fueled by the things that please Him.
