In the 61st episode of Around The Waves on KCOU 88.1 FM Ben Schmidt and Ryan Waelterman begin the day with a Mizzou football preview as the Tigers open SEC play against another Tiger opponent – Auburn this weekend on the road. One can argue this contest will serve as a measuring stick for Missouri regarding all three phases of their game four weeks into the season. The Tigers are coming off a victory against Abilene Christian. Meanwhile, Auburn is among the more lowly teams in the SEC right now after being trounced by Penn State last week. Auburn is also struggling at the quarterback position with TJ Finley out this weekend. Game action is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. CST. Around The Waves transitions to the MLB, where the crew debates which national league team in the wild card race might miss out on the playoffs this season. Next, Around The Waves shifts to the NFL, where they debate if Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is the answer and if the Philadelphia Eagles are a Super Bowl contender.
