Lennart is an adventurer who doesn't just bike across countries; he seeks out the forgotten and abandoned along the way. He's already cycled across Canada from north to south, and now he's embarked on a new journey across Europe with an ambitious goal: reaching Ukraine.

In this episode, I meet Lennart inside an abandoned mine in the Czech Republic to talk about what it takes to ride thousands of kilometers, why abandoned places call to him, and what drives someone to keep pedaling toward distant goals.

The wind was so strong that Stian Opsahl had to crawl on all fours just to keep from being blown off the mountain. Snow and hail pounded his face, visibility dropped to zero, and he admits he wasn’t sure if he’d make it through the night.

Most people would never voluntarily put themselves in such a situation. But Stian isn’t most people.

Better known as “Norway’s toughest homeless person,” Stian has built a life around testing his limits outdoors — walking the entire 1,752 kilometers from Norway’s northernmost point at Nordkapp to Lindesnes in the south, hitchhiking across Europe to Malaga, Spain, and regularly sleeping outside in freezing winter conditions… simply because he enjoys it.
