In our series of conversations about mental health and Mental Health Awareness Month, we continue the conversation with two segments. In segment 1, we speak to representatives from "Lock and Talk," Rebecca Textor, DBHDS Region 1 Suicide Prevention Coordinator, and Winter Spencer, Prevention Specialist with Horizon Behavioral Health, about mental health and suicide prevention. In segment 2, we discuss the (CIT) Crisis Intervention Team and training of police and first responders to recognize and assist those with mental health issues with Lynchburg City Police Chief Ryan Zuidema, and CIT Assessment Center Coordinator Debra Jefferson.
