Will Payne Senior Director of SLED for the Networking and Security (NSX) Business Unit, VMware
Will Payne joined VMware in November 2016 as the Director of SLED for the Networking and Security business unit. Payne leads the team responsible for VMware’s critical security initiatives across the state/local government and education markets. He and his team help customers solve unique mission challenges around compliance, security and operations. Payne is an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in networking and information security. Prior to joining VMware, Payne held similar positions at Cisco, EMC and Oracle. A Colorado resident, he holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia and is active in local charities such as Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement.
Matthew O'Keefe Vice President and Corporate Technologist, Oracle
Dr. Matthew O’Keefe is a vice president and corporate technologist in the Cloud Business Group at Oracle, specializing in helping customers leverage the Oracle cloud to build out next-generation enterprise IT and deploy new cloud applications quickly. He spent nearly five years at Hitachi Data Systems in product R&D and delivery for enterprise storage and big data. Prior to Hitachi, O’Keefe started and sold two infrastructure IT companies, one focused on Linux storage management software and the other on cloud backup. He began his computing career with a Ph.D. at Purdue University in parallel computing and, before entering the enterprise IT world, spent 10 years as a tenured professor at the University of Minnesota, developing parallel applications that leveraged very large scale computing systems, the precursors to today’s clouds.
