When art meets environment
To be able to recognize, cultivate and follow a passion is something only a few people are able to do. To transform it into a job that provides an income is a huge achievement. To be able to do some good with it and turn it into a means to protect what we love... that's pretty amazing!
Somehow Joanna de Deia, like she likes to call herself, has managed to achieve all three!
Her love for the see brought her very young from the USA to the then very bohemian island of Mallorca in the '80s where she became a very well known and appreciated ceramist and environmental activist. She managed to sucseed in her job, contributed to put together a community, and to neil very important improvement in the living conditions of her territory and in the defense of marine life.
What are the Life-Skills and abilities that helped Joanna accomplish all she did? What Self-Awareness has to do with it? How did she get Micheal Douglas to speak up for a local environmental topic?

Essere in grado di riconoscere, coltivare e seguire una passione è qualcosa che solo poche persone sono in grado di fare. Trasformarla in un lavoro che fornisce un reddito è un'enorme conquista. Essere in grado di fare del bene con essa e trasformarla in un mezzo per proteggere ciò che amiamo... è piuttosto sorprendente!
In qualche modo Joanna de Deia, come ama definirsi, è riuscita a raggiungere tutte e tre le cose!
Il suo amore per il mare la portò giovanissima dagli USA all'allora bohémien isola di Maiorca negli anni '80, dove divenne una ceramista e attivista ambientale molto conosciuta e apprezzata. Riuscì ad avere successo nel suo lavoro, contribuì a creare una comunità e a ottenere un miglioramento molto importante nelle condizioni di vita del suo territorio e nella difesa della vita marina.
