Art's research focuses on mass-market retailers, economic history, and the history of economic ideas. He also writes for non-academic audiences in publications such as Forbes. We discussed Art's first book, Leave Me Alone and I’ll Make You Rich: How the Bourgeois Deal Enriched the World, which he coauthored with Deirdre McCloskey.
