In this interview with Liana, we discuss a new and exciting subject in her work: abstract botanicals! Inspired by a day when she didn’t see a view she liked, but captivated by a stunning pink quince blossom, Liana began making these new works and is developing a new series. In our conversation, we discuss a few of the things that come to mind when an artist like Liana is well-known for one thing (landscapes) and begins to explore a new subject (abstract botanicals).
