Kim Pieters has been painting most of her life, under the radar, known only to a few dealers and a few galleries. She popped up in a retrospective in Wellington's Adam Art Gallery before suddenly winning the Waikato's National Contemporary Art Award 2017 for her work The Meaning of Ethics. Her works are now in major collections including the public art galleries of Auckland, Dunedin and Christchurch.
