In this very special episode, Detlef Schlich pays tribute to his long-time friend and fellow musician Vladimir “Vladi” Nowakowski, whose calm groove and deep warmth shaped countless lives and songs. From wild Nippes renovation days and legendary house parties, to unforgettable moments on stage at the Luxor with Zikato and the trembling energy of Paradisox Peacepack, Detlef revisits the laughter, the chaos, and the quiet strength that made Vladi unforgettable.Contributions from Marion and Phil Wolff, and Dirk Schlömer paint a portrait of a friend, colleague, and bass player whose sound continues to resonate — raw, honest, and full of heart. We listen to "You´ve got it". A song performed live in Berlin in 1987 by Phil & the Love with Vladi on Bass and backing vocals. The episode concludes with an unreleased Zikato track, “Hold High”, featuring Vladi on bass — a gift from Dirk to Arteetude and the WAW family.“Maybe he was right all along — we are still living inside a rehearsal.”

Farewell to Vladi

A journey through laughter, chaos, and sound.

From Cologne’s Nippes to the Irish coast —

This episode is a heartfelt goodbye to my dear friend Vladi, whose bass still hums quietly between the lines.
