‘Before Alice’ - a new audio play, written and directed by Stacie Bates.
‘Before Alice’ tells the story of Alice, a botanist who has just left the pressurised world of academia to open her own plant and flower shop in the market town where she grew up. Yet Alice’s past haunts her in unexpected turns - as she prepares to open doors for the first time tomorrow, her social awkwardness and trauma flashbacks flare up. Alice confides in her only companion, her favourite plant cactus, as she attempts to rebuild trust and rediscover herself from before the trauma of the past.
