Charles Vess is a fantasy artist and is known for his work with Marvel Publishers where he worked on Spider-man. Later he wrote and drew the Spider Man graphic novel Spirits of the Earth.

In this October 2021 interview he talks about his forthcoming 2022 calendar and explains how he wound up living and working in Abingdon, Virginia.
