Nate Whitsell is an active member of the San Diego hip hop community, one half of rap duo The Piecemakers, and…a high school English teacher. He shares the incredible journey that led up to working at schools in Compton & South Central LA, how he utilizes music to inspire his students, and how despite, witnessing gang violence and oppression firsthand, he still teaches (and raps) today.
