Better to live life as “I am in the world but not of the world”, as much as possible. The gentile’s systems were built for them and not for the righteous; and they even abuse and oppress their own, so we worst. Hence, it is best to live as independent and self sufficient as possible from their system, with a healthy does of suspicion.
