Ascension Sunday is the day, 40(ish) days after the Resurrection when Jesus is taken up by God into heaven. The disciples, in their wonder, stand with their faces upward, watching Jesus go ... and then they keep looking up. Then two angels ask ... "Why do you stand looking up toward heaven?" An appropriate question, then. An appropriate question, now. There are times to look up toward heaven, and there are times to look out around the earth, and do what Jesus has called us to do.
