Last week, the scripture reminded the disciples that Jesus was “going to the Father.” The Ascension is that act. Had Jesus not gone to the Father, we would not have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit. As it is, Jesus did leave for the purpose of sending the Holy Spirit. The Ascension is a very important part of our faith!
