Dr.Mark Manzanares

In this episode of the Adams State Football Podcast, I sit down with Dr. Mark Manzanares who is a professor at Adams State University, but back in the late 80s Mark was spending his time carrying the pigskin on Rex Field. Under the Leadership of Coach Jeff Geiser, Mark and his squad had some of the most successful seasons in Adams State history including accomplishments like winning RMAC conference championships, playing the Mexican National Team in the Aztec Bowl, and competing in the 1988 National Championship. Their achievements would ultimately get them inducted into the Adams State Athletics Hall of fame.

Mark shares the events that lead him to Alamosa, then we transition to his playing career. I was on the edge of my seat listening to Mark talk about his teams trials and tribulations, dominance, and national championship campaign.
