Back in March, Immanuel Anglican Church hosted our first preview service: Ash Wednesday. We gathered at Agathos Classical School to hear the Word preached, celebrate the Eucharist, and receive the imposition of Ashes.
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent. Lent is a penitential season that leads up to Easter in which we remember our humanity, repent of our sins, and rely of God's grace as we await the Resurrection together.
Fr. Johnmark Smith preached the sermon on Ash Wednesday and invited us all to a holy lent as we repent and return to Jesus.
