For almost a year and a half, Ashley has been making a name for herself as an up-and-coming Twitch streamer who has amassed almost 16k followers on the platform, a following that she dubs....The Sand Squad! As an avid baseball fan, she commonly streams herself playing MLB The Show, and in this interview they talk about all of the awesome opportunities her streaming career has brought about from TV appearances, sponsorships, and many more awesome experiences. She also talks about how she got into baseball, growing up in Southwest Chicago and becoming a generational fan of the Chicago White Sox. They then spend the tail-end of our interview as they typically do talking about the future of MLB and how it can broaden its appeal, and Ashley certainly brings a unique perspective in that regard. She enlightens us about how MLB can broaden its appeal to female fans specifically, and reminds us just how important female representation is within the sport of baseball. Ashley is such a warm, friendly, inviting, charismatic, and wonderful human being, and chatting with her was a tremendous pleasure.
