So we've talked about masturbation... but what do we masturbate to? Everyone experiences sexual arousal and desire differently, often turning to some form of pornography to satisfy those needs. How then are we, viewing (or reading) as Asian women, satisfy ourselves through an industry that's largely built for the Western male gaze?

We've been brought up to believe that being agreeable is what makes us great daughters. Speaking up can be taken as "talking back" which, of course, is regarded as the utmost disrespect for our parents. BIG NO NO! Let's talk about how this manifests in the bedroom where we want to put our pleasure needs first, and break free of this perceived submission.

As young Asian women who didn't quite know how to navigate this step into our sexual journey, we recall our very first experience of penetrative sex and how we felt about it. Although we now know that "virginity" is a construct, the very first time has left a different impact on each of us nonetheless.
