Our God encourages us to ask Him for anything because He wants to be in relationship with us. He wants us to approach Him. Of course we know that we don’t get everything we ask for because if we did, then that would turn God into a puppet and we’d be God. Since we weren’t meant to be God, maybe we should be examining our motives instead? In the Gospel of Matthew Jesus teaches us what to do after we ask.
