The Ask the Girls episodes began in Season 1 and now are a favored feature in Emunahs Second Season. Oklahoma sisters Yasmine and Jazlyn point youthful eyes on the controversial topic of interracial dating and relationships. The animated discussion yielded to 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 and Psalms 139:4. Dont become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? Thats not partnership; thats war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in Gods holy Temple? But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives. God himself put it this way:
Ill live in them, move into them;Ill be their God and theyll be my people. So leave the corruption and compromise;leave it for good, says God.Dont link up with those who will pollute you.I want you all for myself.Ill be a Father to you;youll be sons and daughters to me.The Word of the Master, God.
Sixteen-year-old Yasmine is a high school sophomore and her sister, Jazlyn, is in middle school, 6th grade. They attend a predominantly white school (PWI). Both are very active in school and in their Baptist church in Oklahoma.
Jazlyn gives this advice on how to maneuver at a PWI: Just be yourself If you are yourself, maybe [the students, black and white] are interested [in you]. If not that means they are not really real friends. If you start off with showing your true self, you can see who your real friends are.
Ask the Girls! Episodes also include segments that look at ways to follow the Bibles teachings and commandments in everyday situations and dissect scenarios involving parental decision making.
Join the sisters; see if you agree or disagree with their opinions and then let us know at [email protected] or https://wordconsultingllc.com. Do you have ideas on a particular segment you would like to see the girls tackle?
