Ask Us | Christmas Shopping Part III

Listen Later

Tom Chapman, Consumer Protection Officer in the Kimberley talks about Christmas shopping and what to do when things go wrong. If a gift doesn’t work, it’s great if you still have the packaging, but it’s more important to have proof of purchase so you can enforce your consumer rights. So when you’re buying gifts, keep the receipt or a screenshot of your transaction. Plus when you’re shopping online and something arrives damaged in transit, or didn’t arrive, whoever handled the transport or delivery is responsible to act with due care and skill, to ensure the item arrives safely. Listen to find out more and if you need assistance, Consumer Protection will be available right up to Christmas Eve and back the first week in January.
