The Bryant Chambers Movement

Asking For Help is not Weakness

Listen Later

Every supremely successful person you've ever seen had a ton of help to get there. Everyone from Oprah Winfrey to Alexander the Great had people around them that helped them reach and exceed their potential.

In fact, when Aristotle found Alexander the Great, he was essentially a whoremongering alcoholic (he died from what we now call alcoholism, by the way). But he also conquered the free world at the time.

If these titans of success needed help, what makes you any different?

I'll tell you what.

You grew up in a society that is obsessed with self-reliance, self-care, self-help. There is no such thing in the world of success.

The first thing they teach you as a soldier is the importance of having a battle buddy, a person you can count on to watch your back in every situation.

Individuals die in resentment. Teams with a strong enough desire and focus win!
