Asking the Right Questions with Luc Beaudry

Listen Later

“This is where the ball is. This is where I’m going to spend some time.”

 - Luc Beaudry

Asking the right questions is an art form.  Sometimes these questions can create discomfort so it’s important to be intentional about how you create psychological safety in your approach to allow for the right questions to surface.  Good question-asking ensures that you are gathering perspectives and getting the whole picture, not only part.  Listen to this episode for some examples of how to do this effectively.

My guest is Luc Beaudry who is a Leadership Development Consultant at Canadian Blood Services.  Luc is a senior talent practitioner with great depth of experience in leading teams and creating compelling content.

In this episode of Talent Management Truths, you’ll discover:

🍏  How the power of questions helped my guest actually change the course of his career

🍏  The importance of checking for alignment at a meeting where you feel something might be missing

🍏  How to meet people where they are so that you get to the right destination

About Luc Beaudry:  Luc found his path into the talent management space by way of training facilitation. In the 17 years since then, he has managed employee engagement surveys, led the client solutions team for a national training organization, and designed and delivered a range of high-impact development programs for thousands of leaders and individual contributors across a variety of industries. He recently joined Canadian Blood Services as a Leadership Development Consultant.

Luc favours a consultative and facilitative approach for creating engagement and buy-in. He gets excited when creating moments of awareness and discovery and loves to use collaboration to get at root issues and underlying motivators.
