Protect and Serve

Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu QPM - Part 2

Listen Later

Our next guest on Protect and Serve is Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu QPM, the highest ranking ethnic minority police office in the United Kingdom and the metropolitan police service.

In 2016 he was awarded the Queens police medal for distinguished service. Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu, has been a prominent figure on British television over many years as he has lead the countries counter terrorism response as the senior national coordinator. Later being promoted to assistant commission, specialist operations. In the six years that he was in his post he, his collogues and other important government agencies disrupted 29 terrorism plots, responded to 12 terrorist attacks across Brittan and arrested, charged and convicted over 600 terrorists. The pressure that comes with such leadership is one that not many can cope with but this certainly does not apply to Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu QPM, who we are extremely privileged welcome to protect and serve.
