Kate Walsh, Alice Springs Town Council Manager of Community and Cultural Development was joined by Carmel, the Community Inclusion Officer, to talk to 8CCC Big Brekky listeners about the first stage in Council's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) framework. Drawing on the national structure to assist organisations to sustainably and strategically take meaningful action to advance reconciliation, they recently completed their Reflect RAP, renamed meeting rooms, based on Arrerndte animals. The chosen animals are Aherre (Red Kangaroo), Arleye (Emu), Yerrampe (Honey Ant), Atywenpe (Perentie), Irretye (Wedge-Tailed Eagle), Artnwere (Dingo) and Unyerre (Thorny Devil)
