Following on from the Maximus V GENE motherboard that launched last month, ASUS Republic of Gamers has just launched two bigger brothers: the Maximus V Formula and Extreme.
The Formula is designed for hardcore gamers who demand the best balance of heavy gaming from 3-way SLI and CrossFireX, premium onboard audio and excellent overclocking features.
The Maximus V Extreme is built specifically for overclocking and performance enthusiasts. With 4-way SLI and CrossFireX that’s enabled via a PLX PCI-Express 3.0 lane multiplier, and ROG engineer tweak CPU digital power control, the Maximus 5 Extreme can push LGA1155 hardware and the latest 28nm graphics cards to the very limits of their design.
