Any counsel from another person, whether a trusted friend, a pastor, or someone you see on social media, should always be fact-checked according to the Word of God, whether you give advice or take it. In today’s message, Pastor Tom will challenge you to seek God in everything you do and everything you take in! God’s advice and guidance are more important than anything anyone tells you and anything you tell someone else. Our ideas should only be suggestions, and God’s commands should be done!
The commands that God’s Word holds aren’t suggestions. The truths that His Word gives aren’t simply ideas to think about, but promises to hold on to! In today’s message, Pastor Tom will remind you that God’s Word isn’t about you; it’s not about what you like or what you agree with; it's full of truth that you get the opportunity to obey. The Bible is about Jesus; it’s about what He did on the cross for you and me, and then it gives us instructions on how to be holy by the blood of Jesus!
Everyone's experiences are different, and they’re meant to be! God allows us all to have different personalities, go through different things, and He gives different promises; Everyone is different, and that is good! That allows us to all minister to one another based on what God has personally done in our lives! In today’s message, Pastor Tom will warn you against putting your experiences or God-given commands onto another person. Allow God to minister to them through His faithfulness in your life!
No matter who you are, what you do, or what you like, everyone wants to live a good life. Everyone wants to make the most out of this time we have on earth to be happy… unfortunatelyhanged life. In today’s message, Pastor Tom will bring some hope to your life! With a divine experience from God, of God, that perfect life IS possible! The only true answer to a joyful life is undeniably Jesus Christ!
When we read God’s Word, we always want to ask ourselves, “Where is Jesus in this?” “What is Jesus revealing about Himself and about me?” These questions and the context of the accounts in the Bible are vital to our walk with Christ! Understanding of Biblical knowledge comes from asking these questions while allowing God to reveal what He wants! In today’s message, Pastor Tom will point out the importance of context, parables, and where Jesus is in the stories!
Jesus alone can wash you clean from your sins that keep you from God. He died on a cross after living a perfect life, then rose from the dead. It was all for you, so you could experience the joy that comes with the hope for eternity He brings. In today's message, Pastor Tom will direct your attention to Jesus if you're thirsty for peace in your soul. You can't find the joy Jesus gives in anything the world has to offer. It's futile to even try. Don't miss out on such a great gift. It's free if you just turn to Him.
God should be your first resort when you need direction in your life. He should be your first choice when you need comfort or healing. Today, Pastor Tom will talk about the unfortunate truth that oftentimes, we don't consider God until things get so bad that there's nowhere else to turn. That shouldn't be the case! God draws near to those who draw near to Him. He'll come through for you when you have faith that He will. Do you turn to Him first in your life when you're faced with your trials and tribulations?
Jesus made a way for you to be forgiven of all your sins and shortcomings, so you could have a home in Heaven for eternity. The only way to get it is to believe in Him and turn from your sins once you confess them. As you'll hear today with Pastor Tom, it's not based on anything you've done. Just being a good person, or being generous to others, isn't enough. It takes faith that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead for you, and that God WILL let you into Heaven for eternity because you've been forgiven.
Do you pray for those who are in leadership? Do you pray that those in authority in your local area follow God's will, and that they'd be godly leaders? Or do you complain about their decisions without considering that God is the one Who put them there in the first place? That's what the Israelites did when they got hungry in the wilderness, as you'll see in today's message with Pastor Tom. Rather than complain about your leaders over you, pray for them that they'd represent God in their position.
The weight of Pastor Tom’s phrase, “Grace isn’t really grace without penalty,” really comes to light when I think about all the times I’ve been let off the hook. I’m a habitual speeder, and I don’t really think about how gracious cops are until one pulled me over but let me off with a warning. That’s when I realized that my actions have a consequence, but they were sparing me. In today’s message, you’ll learn that God shows you grace, after grace, after grace, for all the wrongs you do every single day.
