NOTE: this week's Bikers Church video didn't record. So, we're sending you the message from Sunday's City Church service. Social status was everything in the early 1900’s. Even those on Titanic the wealthy were seen as having more value than the poor. In fact, the majority of those who survived the tragedy at sea were first class passengers. The sad truth is that even today, people are judged based on certain outward criteria. Race, popularity, looks, age, and many other factors determine what we think of people. Some argue it’s simply “human nature.” But shouldn’t the Church be different? The Apostle James believes it should be. He challenged the church to rise above showing favourtism based on wealth or any other factor. This week, we look at James’ words and ask the honest question, “Do I judge based on outward criteria?”
