There aren't many feelings worse than watching someone you love, someone who says they love you, scorn your affection and love someone else instead. It's bad enough if it happens once, but what if it keeps happening? I don't want to think about heartache like that. It can lead even the most faithful, kind, loving person to a breaking point.
