Bishop Peter is due to retire in October this year, and the process to choose his successor as Bishop of Sodor and Man has now begun. It's a long and complicated procedure, designed to make sure the best possible person is appointed, to meet the needs of the Diocese now, and share a vision for its future. On today's programme we join the Archdeacon, the Venerable Irene Cowell, as she guides us through the process and shares thoughts on the importance of the Bishop's role in Island life.
Rev'd Canon Dr Michael Leyden is the Dean of Emmanuel Theological College and was a recent visitor to the Island. He joins us on the programme to tell the story of this new college which serves the North West of England (including the Isle of Man) which brings a fresh new approach to ministry training - and came into being through a couple of miracles!
The boys of Broughton Parish Church Choir are back on the Island for their annual Training Holiday. We feature hymns from the men and boys of the choir on today's programme, and the young choristers would love to see you as they sing Choral Evensong around the Island's churches this week :
