I saw this quote about working hard and being more patient. I found it condescending. There are plenty of peope who work hard and have waited a whole life time and have still not seen the fruits of their labor. It reminded me of the saying God's timing. When I was Christian I didn't believe in that line of thinking. Mostly because if you waited around for God's timing. You'd be waiting forever. It was a lie fed to a mass of individuals who were less fortunate. That God was coming just by prayer alone. I blame the preachers. This realization led me to the line of thinking of God's Favorites. This was because if God's timing worked a little faster for you, it meant that you were one God's favorite. And the Bible is full of favorites. Everybody's story was not there.
