Atheist Philosopher Attempts To Challenge A Muslim! Muhammed Ali

Listen Later

Muhammed establishes that objective morality must have a foundation, challenging the interlocutor's subjective atheistic morality which he argues is merely personal opinion. He explains that Islamic morality is objective because it comes from Allah (the Quran and Sunnah), existing independently of any individual's opinion. When confronted with the problem of evil regarding a drowning child, Muhammed argues this life is a test requiring both good and evil to actualize, that the child's death tests those around them, and that children who die go to paradise making it ultimately merciful. He defines objective morality as deriving from Allah who is Al-Haq (the Truth) and Al-Adl (the Most Just), therefore whatever Allah commands is inherently good and just.
