Lexy worked with Coach Michaela while training for her FIRST marathon and she is now officially a 2022 Chicago Marathon FINISHER! Lexy is a tech in a hospital working 12 hour shifts and is also in the process of applying to PA school-- she is busy but she made training a priority and it paid off on race day!
Before working with Coach Mich she tried to find a training template online but was instantly overwhelmed by the 6 day a week training schedule that seemed unrealistic. Sound familiar?
She shares some of the highs and lows she encountered during training, how she navigated comparison, what her focus was this first training cycle, how she managed her time and got to the start line HEALTHY. Lexy is just another example of how we work with our athletes to make sure their training schedule works WITH them, not against them, adapting and making changes as needed when life happens!
We are so proud of you Lexy and we can't wait to see you at our athlete retreat in February 2023 and continue working with you to train for the half marathon in the meantime!
