The 'Big Four' banks in Australia have removed 1,400+ ATMs per year, every year, for the past five years, that's in addition to closing 400+ bank branches. Now the banks, the corporate media, and the government claim this is due to customers preferring digital transactions, however … perhaps unsurprisingly … I push back on this claim and explore what's really going on.
