Pastor Taylor Shippy - Matthew 26:26-29

At the Last Supper, Jesus says somethings that disrupts the status quo of a traditional Passover meal. He changes the symbolism of the bread and wine to be about Himself instead of the expected Exodus story. Perhaps He did this intentionally? As we conclude our sermon series: "Atonement: Cherish the Old Rugged Cross," we come to the Table of the Lord to look to see Jesus inaugurate a 'new' covenant in light of His atoning work on the Cross that He is about to do on Good Friday.
