Today’s guest is Rufy Ghazi, a researcher and consultant working at the intersection of music, technology, and the evolving music industry.
Rufy is a product consultant for music tech companies and previously worked at ByteDance on TikTok and at Kobalt’s Amra. She is also Head of Music Research at Audience Strategies, where she leads major studies into the music ecosystem, including the UK Electronic Music Industry Report and Sound Investments, which maps the UK music tech sector.
She is currently leading the Fair Play initiative, an independent audit examining rights and royalties in electronic music — work that has been covered by The Guardian, DJ Mag, and Resident Advisor.
Alongside her research, Rufy writes and speaks about AI and the future of the music industry, mentors through programs such as Abbey Road REDD and BPI Grow Music, and performs as the DJ Lady Ruffelin.
