We are forced to constantly celebrate 1960s artists because that is the era where the modern left found it’s power and then took over the culture. The moment now is identical to the moment then, with one glaring difference—now the tools exist for anyone to create culture and because of it, the right wing 1960s can happen and enable us to ride back into power where imposters sit on pretend thrones just to sell us their worldview.
