On January 20, 2026, 50 internationalist and Kurdish youths visited the Turkish embassy in Berlin and targeted it with paint and fireworks. (They wrote "DEFEND KOBANE" in large white paint.) At midnight on the night of January 19-20, the words "DEFEND KOBANE" appeared in white paint in front of the Turkish embassy in Berlin. A large group of 50 youths marched in front of the embassy and, using fake blood, fireworks, and eggs thrown at the facade, as well as pyrotechnics, made a powerful statement against Turkey's complicity in the ongoing massacres and attacks on the revolution in northern and eastern Syria. These 50 internationalist and Kurdish youths took concrete action against Turkey's policies of war and destruction, demonstrating their solidarity and conviction. After a few minutes, the young activists disappeared into the Tiergarten park and were viciously pursued by the police.
