In cooking there is a fancy word for the beginning of a great dish, mirepoix. The idea is that no matter how sophisticated the final product is, the base for every flavor in the dish is built on extremely simple ingredients. In our tradition, there are three strikingly simple rules, which like the mirepoix of a great dish, make up the start of God’s recipe for life. Join us as we devote a week to each rule, its origins in scripture, and how God can use it to add flavor to our lives.
