Pastor Bob uses the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to illustrate this point. These three men were thrown into a fiery furnace for refusing to worship an idol. They could have chosen to save themselves by bowing down to the idol, but they chose to trust God instead. They knew that God would protect them, even if it meant they died.
