Before we grab our magic feathers and soar to the skies, here are five fast facts about Dumbo the Flying Elephant at Magic Kingdom.

1. Dumbo the Flying Elephant was a Magic Kingdom opening day attraction, opening with the park on October 1, 1971

2. When the attraction originally opened, there were only 10 elephant ride vehicles. 6 more were added in 1993, when the attraction got a completely new ride mechanism.

3. On opening day in 1971, the attraction was missing two important elements. First, Timothy the Mouse was not in his position atop the 'disco ball' on the center spire of the attraction, and the elephant ride vehicles weren't wearing hats! The ride vehicles were updated shortly after opening and Timothy made his debut in 1972.

4. In 2011, Fantasyland went under construction and as part of it, the Dumbo attraction was relocated and updated with a entire second carousel and an interactive queue.

5. The second carousel was build to spin clockwise from the original version.

The Walt Disney World website describes this attraction saying: Take flight above Storybook Circus with Goofy in a homemade stunt airplane for a thrilling junior roller coaster ride.

Guests must be 35" or taller to ride this attraction.

Before we take-off, here are five fast facts about The Barnstormer.

1. The Barnstormer is located in the Storybook Circus section of Fantasyland at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. The spot where the coaster is now used to belong to Grandma Duck's petting farm which was a petting zoo and home to the famous cow Minnie Moo.

2. The Barnstormer opened officially on October 1, 1996 in the renamed Toontown Fair section of Fantasyland. The story of the attraction was that Goofy was running a flight school on his farm. The ride's full name was The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm.

3. The attraction closed on February 12, 2011 as part of the Fantasyland expansion at Magic Kingdom.

4. The ride reopened on March 12, 2012 as part of Fantasyland's Storybook Circus. The name was tweaked The Barnstormer featuring Goofy as The Great Goofini.

5. As you enter the attraction, turn and look at the back of the entrance sign. You'll see a set of red painted letters all jumbled up. When put together, these spell out Wiseacre Farm as a tribute to the previous attraction.

1. Tom Sawyer island opened at Magic Kingdom on May 20, 1973.

2. The Fort on the Island, Fort Langhorn, was originally called Fort Samuel Clemens, but the name was changed in 1996 in a moment of synergy with the Walt Disney Pictures film Tom & Huck.

3. The barn on the island used to have an effect that made it seem like it was on fire. Viewed primarily from the riverboat, this effect was ended in 2005.

4. In August 2024, Disney announced that Tom Sawyer Island would be closing to make way for a new Frontierland expansion themed to the Pixar movie Cars.

5. Tom Sawyer Island official closed on July 7, 2025. Bringing the 52 year life of Tom Sawyer Island to a close.

This episode we visit Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom to check out the Country Bear Jamboree's new show the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.

The Walt Disney World website describes this attraction saying: Head over to Frontierland for this newly reimagined show where Henry, Trixie, Big Al and their pals are playin' some of your favorite Disney songs alongside a heapin' helpin' of Southern charm.

Before we head to Grizzly Hall, here are five fast facts about the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.

1. In September 2023, Disney announced that the Country Bear Jamboree would be retooled into a new show called the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. The edited original show that had been running closed on January 27, 2024. The new version of the show opened on July 17, 2024.

2. As part of the redesign for the new show, the lobby area of grizzly hall has been festooned with display cases filled with treasures from the history of the Country Bear Jamboree. This includes trophies of awards won by the bears, vintage costume pieces and original paw-written lyrics for songs.

3. Veteran singer, songwriter Mac McAnally was tasked with creating country versions of popular Disney songs for the show. He also provides the voice of Terrance the Shaker in the show as well.

4. The Voice competitor Emily Ann Roberts provides the voice of Trixie and Allison Russell and Chris Thile provide voices for Teddi Barra and Wendell respectively.

5. As part of the revamp, one bear got a name change. Liver Lips McGrowl is now Romeo McGrowl. Romeo is now voiced by Robert "Big Sandy" Williams.

Let's head to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure to check out the high flying stunt show known as The Amazing Spider-Man! On this episode of attraction checklist.

This episode we're visit Disney California Adventure to experience the, brief, stunt show called The Amazing Spider-Man!

Now here's a first in Attraction Checklist history, I cannot find any mention of this show anywhere on the Disneyland website. I was able to find it in the entertainment listings on the Disneyland App where it is described by saying:

Watch out for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man along the rooftop of the WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure building. You may even get a chance to meet him, up close!

Since this is a show, there are no age or height requirements or a thrill level listed for this experience.

Before we shove off, here are five fast facts about the Liberty Square Riverboat in Magic Kingdom.

1. The Amazing Spider-Man! debuted with Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure on June 4, 2021. The show featured a combination of human and robotic performers.

2. The Amazing Spider-Man! Takes on the rooftop of the W.E.B. building that houses the WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure attraction we reviewed back in episode 124.

3. The centerpiece of the show is a high flying stunt performed by a robot imagineers have dubbed a Stuntronic. This acrobatic robot is able to perform somersaults and twists as it flies through the air.

4. The robot Stuntronic got an extra year of development thanks to the COVID-19 Pandemic. During this time, imagineers were able to perfect what the robot could do. In fact, they made it too perfect where it could land complex moves each time it soared through the air. Show directors reminded the Imagineers that Spide-Man is far from perfect, so they reprogrammed the robot to be a little more out of control.

5. On November 17, 2024, the stunt performers who performed in the show were informed that the stunt portion of the show was going to be removed. The Stuntronic Spider-Man still flies through the air several times each day but gone are the rooftop tumbling portions of the show. The audio recorded for this episode was made before that change happened.

Guests must be 44" or taller to ride this attraction and the Thrill Level calls it a Thrill Ride with Big Drops in the Dark.

Before we head to Starport: Seven Five, here are five fast facts about Magic Kingdom's Space Mountain.

1. Space Mountain opened at Magic Kingdom on January 15, 1975.

2. Space Mountain was originally conceived by Walt Disney for an attraction at Disneyland. In 1964, Walt Disney started John Hench on the idea of a space themed roller coaster initially called Space Voyage. It wasn't until 1966 that imagineers christened it Space Mountain for the first time. The technology at the time made building the attraction in Disneyland impossible, but there was plenty of room at Magic Kingdom so Space Mountain appeared in Walt Disney World promotional materials as early at 1969.

3. There are two tracks on Space Mountain at Walt Disney World, Alpha and Omega. They are near identical in that they are 65ft (or 19.8m) high, have a drop of 26 feet (7.9m) and whisk you along at 27 mph (or 43.5 km/h). The difference between the two tracks comes in where track length is concerned. Alpha track's 3196ft (974.1m) of track is 10 ft (or 3m) longer than Omega's 3186 ft (971.1 m)

4. The first official rider on Space Mountain in 1975 was astronaut Colonel James Irwin.

5. Space Mountain holds the distinction of being the oldest operating roller coaster in all of Florida.

It's time to take a leisurely cruise around the Rivers of America as we head to Magic Kingdom to ride the Liberty Square Riverboat on this episode of Attraction Checklist.

This episode we're going to hop aboard the Liberty Belle for a cruise on the Liberty Square Riverboat.

The Walt Disney World website describes this attraction saying: Cruise the scenic Rivers of America aboard an authentic steam-powered paddle wheeler. There are no age or height requirements for this attraction and the thrill level describes the attraction as being a slow ride.

Before we shove off, here are five fast facts about the Liberty Square Riverboat in Magic Kingdom.

1. The Liberty Square Riverboat attraction opened at Walt Disney World on October 2, 1971. The first boat that served was called the Admiral Joe Fowler, named after Joe Fowler who was in charge of construction at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. In 1973, a second river boat was added named the Richard F. Irvine. In 1986, that boat was renamed to Liberty Belle which still runs the Rivers of America today. An interesting note is that the original boat, the Admiral Joe Fowler was damaged in a dry dock incident and was retired in 1980.

2. The Liberty Belle is a steam-powered sternwheeler replica. Sternwheeler means there is one paddle wheel on the rear or stern of the ship. A steam engine pulled water from the river to turn into steam to power the paddlewheel.

3. The Liberty Belle is 47 feet tall and features four decks for guests to visit during the ride.

4. During the 17 minute trip, a narrator, in the in the voice of Mark Twain points out the sights guests see as they travel down the river including an early American settlement, a Native American village and Big Thunder Mountain.

5. The captain on the narration track is named Horace Bixby who was a real riverboat captain who mentored Samuel Clemons aka Mark Twain.

Let's get a little spooky and head to Disney California Adventure to check out the Halloween Overlay known as Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween on this episode of Attraction Checklist. Attraction audio recorded on September 21, 2023.

This episode we head to Disney California Adventure Park to ride Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween.

The Disneyland Resort website describes this attraction by saying: Celebrate Luigi's favorite holiday at the honkin'est dance party in Radiator Screams!

Guests must be 32" or taller to ride this attraction and the Thrill Level calls it a Thrill Ride that is Loud with Spinning.

Before we join Luigi and Guido for some spooky fun, here are five fast facts about Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween

1. Starting in 2017, Cars Land at Disney California Adventure got a spooky makeover for the Halloween Season. Radiator Springs becomes Radiator Screams. Several of the attractions got a holiday overlay including Luigi's Rollickin Roadsters which becomes Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween.

2. Luigi's Casa Della Tires gets a halloween makeover including the leaning tower of tires which sports hubcaps and treads that look like eyes and mouths.

3. Despite the overlay, the attraction retains it's ride time of approximately 2 minutes.

4. As of this episode's audio recording which was done in 2023, one of five different songs played while the cards were in motion. These are all parodies of traditional Italian songs given a spooky edge. They include: Honkin' Haul-O-Ween, Luigi the Hero, Haul-O-Ween Italiano, Chop Shop of Carsoli and Terror-Antella.

5. Disney released all the songs from the attraction in 2018 on an album called: Happy Haul-O-Ween from Cars Land: Spooky Songs From Mater and Luigi. This album is available on most music streaming platforms.

The Disneyland website describes this attraction saying: Drop on in and come along for the ride with Princess Tiana on an exhilarating musical adventure. The thrill level describes the attraction as being a Thrill Ride that is a water ride with big drops.

Before we head to the bayou, here are five fast facts about Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Disneyland.

1. In June of 2020, Disney announced they would be re-theming Splash Mountain at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom to Tiana's Bayou adventure, based on the 2009 film The Princess and the Frog.

2. The Magic Kingdom version of the attraction opened on June 28, 2024 and the Disneyland version is scheduled to open on November 15, 2024. The audio for this episode was recorded during Magic Key holder previews on November 5, 2024.

3. In September 2022, it was announced that several voice actors from the original film would be reprising their roles to provide voices for the attraction. This includes Anika Noni Rose as Tiana and Michael-Leon Wooley as Lewis

4. Tiana's Bayou Adventure features 48 audio animatronics in the attraction including several state of the art figures for Tiana and Lewis.

5. The storyline of the attraction has Tiana's Foods built on a salt dome. This inspiration was taken from the Avery Island salt dome in Louisiana.

1. Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, was originally slated to open in 2021 as part of Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary. The opening was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the attraction officially opened on October 16, 2023.

2. Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is located in the World Nature neighborhood of Epcot near The Seas with Nemo and Friends.

3. Guests can take two paths as they explore Journey of Water. Those who'd prefer not to get wet can take the dry path while those interested in interacting with the water can take the wet path.

4. Journey of Water keeps the original spirit of EPCOT alive as it teaches guests about the global water cycle and follows the journey of water from the sky to the sea and back again.

5. Several characters from the film Moana are hidden throughout the attraction, both on land and in the water. The centerpiece of the attraction is not hidden at all and that is the 15 foot high sculpture of Te Fiti which is comprised of over 3000 pieces of foliage.
