Have you been struggling to keep it together during this pandemic? Do the kids school and work schedule have you feeling frazzled and stressed out? Well, what if you had to balance all of that with a child with special needs?

In today’s episode we (Astrid Ferguson and Alexandra Hodge) step into the life of Chante Douglas who authored Echo Boy and ABC Girl children’s  book and is an awesome (au-some) mom to Levi who is autistic. She shares her vulnerable story of being in a domestic abuse relationship with her child’s father, while grappling with having an autistic son. She shares the highs and lows of being a single parent and at times feeling disconnected to her autistic son. It’s not all sadness as we discuss dating and some resources to help mothers in Philadelphia seeking resources for their trailblazing children with autism.

This is a little bit of a tear jerker as Alexandra Hodge (the younger sister) also shares some of her thoughts and biggest fears being a single mother to a child with autism.
