The best time to contact sponsors is after you have clearly defined your event's purpose and expected outcome, target audience, and the benefits you can offer to the sponsor. Having a well-prepared sponsorship proposal, complete with detailed information about your event and how it aligns with the sponsor's interests, is crucial.


For small budgets, give yourself six months or less to secure sponsors. For larger budgets, allow six months to a year or more. It can take up to a few months to secure local sponsors.
