In follow-up from Sunday worship time in June where we wrote our own prayers, we will take time to continue our prayers of liturgy or write new ones.
Think about a typical day in your life, from morning to evening, and imagine Jesus in your day with you, loving you. Think about all the routine things you do (making coffee, brushing your teeth, checking your phone/social media, preparing a meal, going to work, household chores like doing the dishes or changing a diaper, etc). God may also bring to mind a particular season you’re in and be leading you to bring that to Him in prayer (new parenthood, singleness, beginning or ending of job or school, a recent loss, physical illness, etc).
Ask God to point out one of these daily or weekly habits or season of life. Ask God to show you how to worship him with this habit/activity. Now take some time to right out a prayer in response to God. It can be short and simple.
[Timekeeper - set timer for 8 minutes for people to journal, then transition to next section].
Transitioning into Time of Silence:
At the end of the first small group prayer time, some members will transition into an hour of silence (11:30-12:30). Others will be with their children now and take time for silence after lunch (2-3pm). If you are not doing silence, you can use Meditation 2 guide provided in this packet
