ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥

ਹਮ ਸਰਿ ਦੀਨੁ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਨ ਤੁਮ ਸਰਿ ਅਬ ਪਤੀਆਰੁ ਕਿਆ ਕੀਜੈ ॥ ਬਚਨੀ ਤੋਰ ਮੋਰ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨੈ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਪੂਰਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੧॥ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ਰਮਈਆ ਕਾਰਨੇ ॥ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਵਨ ਅਬੋਲ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਨਮ ਬਿਛੁਰੇ ਥੇ ਮਾਧਉ ਇਹੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੇ ਲੇਖੇ ॥ ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਆਸ ਲਗਿ ਜੀਵਉ ਚਿਰ ਭਇਓ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖੇ ॥੨॥੧॥

ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ! ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਮਾਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਕੰਗਾਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਹੁਣ ਹੋਰ ਪਰਤਾਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਰਾਮ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਿਦਕ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਚ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰੇ।੧। ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਰਾਮ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ; ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਗੱਲੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲਦਾ ? ਰਹਾਉ। ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ – ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ! ਕਈ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜਿਆ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ । ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਜਨਮ ਤੇਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਬੀਤੇ; ਤੇਰਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਬੜਾ ਚਿਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।੨।੧।

English Translation

DHANAASAREE, DEVOTEE RAVI DAAS JEE: 

ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU: 

There is none as forlorn as I am, and none as Compassionate as You; what need is there to test us now? May my mind surrender to Your Word; please, bless Your humble servant with this perfection. || 1 || I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to the Lord. O Lord, why are You silent? || Pause || For so many incarnations, I have been separated from You, Lord; I dedicate this life to You. Says Ravi Daas: placing my hopes in You, I live; it is so long since I have gazed upon the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. || 2 || 1 ||

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੬ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਬਿਨਉ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਮਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਿ ਤਾਰਨ ਤਰਨ ਹਰਿ ਅਵਰਿ ਜੰਜਾਲ ਤੇਰੈ ਕਾਹੂ ਨ ਕਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਵਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੇਵਾ ਇਹੁ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਨਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਨ ਲਾਈਐ ਹੀਤੁ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਬੀਤੁ ਅੰਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਰ ਓਹੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ॥ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਤੂ ਆਰਾਧ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਾਧ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਛੂਟੈ ॥੨॥ ਗਹੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਰਨ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਕਮਲ ਚਰਨ ਅਵਰ ਆਸ ਕਛੁ ਪਟਲੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ॥ ਸੋਈ ਭਗਤੁ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਧਿਆਨੀ ਤਪਾ ਸੋਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੩॥੧॥੨੯॥ ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸੁਣੋ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ) ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ (ਹਰਿ-ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੇ) ਕੰਮ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣ ਲਈ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਹੈ। (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ) ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੰਜਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣਗੇ। ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼-ਰੂਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਹੀ (ਅਸਲ) ਜੀਵਨ ਹੈ-ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।੧। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ (ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ) ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਂਇਆਂ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਉਹ (ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ) ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ (ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ) , ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ) ਬੰਧਨ ਮੁੱਕ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।੨। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਫੜ, (ਆਪਣੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਕੋਮਲ ਚਰਨ (ਵਸਾ) (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ, ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਆਸਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੂੰਢਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭਗਤ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ-ਅਭਿਆਸੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਤਪਸ੍ਵੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।੧।੨੯। DHANAASAREE, FIFTH MEHL, SIXTH HOUSE: ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU: Listen, O Dear Beloved Saints, to my prayer. Without the Lord, no one is liberated. || Pause || O mind, do only deeds of purity; the Lord is the only boat to carry you across. Other entanglements shall be of no use to you. True living is serving the Divine, Supreme Lord God; the Guru has imparted this teaching to me. || 1 || Do not fall in love with trivial things; in the end, they shall not go along with you. Worship and adore the Lord with your mind and body, O Beloved Saint of the Lord; in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, you shall be released from bondage. || 2 || In your heart, hold fast to the Sanctuary of the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord God; do not place your hopes in any other support. He alone is a devotee, spiritually wise, a meditator, and a penitent, O Nanak, who is blessed by the Lord’s Mercy. || 3 || 1 || 29 ||

 ਟੋਡੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਕੀ

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਕੋਈ ਬੋਲੈ ਨਿਰਵਾ ਕੋਈ ਬੋਲੈ ਦੂਰਿ ॥ ਜਲ ਕੀ ਮਾਛੁਲੀ ਚਰੈ ਖਜੂਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਕਾਂਇ ਰੇ ਬਕਬਾਦੁ ਲਾਇਓ ॥ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਛਪਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ ਬੇਦੁ ਬਖਾਨੈ ॥ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਰਾਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੈ ॥੨॥੧॥

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ

ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅਸਾਡੇ) ਨੇੜੇ (ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ), ਕੋਈ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਸਾਥੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ) ਦੂਰ (ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੈ); (ਪਰ ਨਿਰਾ ਬਹਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਾ ਇਉਂ ਹੀ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮੱਛੀ ਖਜੂਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਨ ਦਾ ਜਤਨ ਕਰੇ (ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭੀ ਬੜੇ ਔਖੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ) ।੧। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਰੱਬ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੂਰ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਵਿਖਾਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਕਿਉਂ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ? ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਲੁਕਾਇਆ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਹ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਬਹਿਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਢੰਢੋਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ) ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਆਦਿਕ ਤਾਂ) ਵੇਦ (ਆਦਿਕ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ) ਦੀ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੂਰਖ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕੇਵਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ।੨।੧।

English Translation

TODEE, THE WORD OF THE DEVOTEES:

ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:

Some say that He is near, and others say that He is far away. We might just as well say that the fish climbs out of the water, up the tree. || 1 || Why do you speak such nonsense? One who has found the Lord, keeps quiet about it. || 1 || Pause || Those who become Pandits, religious scholars, recite the Vedas, but foolish Naam Dayv knows only the Lord. || 2 || 1 ||

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਛੰਤ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ਘਰੁ ੧    ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਸਹਜਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈਐ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਵਿਗਸੈ ਸਦਾ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾ ਆਪਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਭਾਵਏ ॥ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਤਜੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵਏ ॥ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਆਪਿ ਦੇਇ ਤ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਨੇਹੁ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੈ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਸੇਵੀ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਮੈ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵਿਸਾਰੀ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੀ ਜਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਈ ਤਾ ਜੀਵਾ ॥ ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਤ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਾ ॥ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲੇ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਚਰੈ ॥ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਨੇਹੁ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੈ ॥੨॥ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਆਵਏ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ਤ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਏ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਸਦਾ ਅਤੀਤੁ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਜਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥ ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਦੁਹਾ ਤੇ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਭਾਵਏ ॥ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਆਵਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਦੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਜਮਿ ਜੋਹਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਹਾਇ ਹਾਇ ਕਰੇ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੁਖਿ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੁਖਿ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਹਿਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਰਤ ਵਿਹਾਵਏ ॥ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੇਇ ਤਿਸੁ ਚੇਤੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਅੰਤਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਛੁਤਾਵਏ ॥ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਧੋਹਿਆ ॥ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਦੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਮਿ ਜੋਹਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੇਹੁ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਮਹਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਸਦਾ ਰਹੈ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਪਤ ਰਹੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਹਜੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ ਨਾਮੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵਏ ॥ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੇਹੁ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਮਹਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਵਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੫॥੧॥ ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ, ਤਾਂ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ (ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਾ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਕੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਸਦਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਖਿੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਪਰ ਇਹ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ) ਜਦੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ (ਇਹ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਨੀ) ਪਸੰਦ ਆਵੇ। (ਗੁਣ ਗਾਣ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ, ਹਉਮੈ, ਮਾਇਆ (ਦਾ ਮੋਹ) ਤਿਆਗ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ) ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ (ਇਹ ਦਾਤਿ) ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਮੈਂ ਉਸ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੂੰ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਿਮਰssssਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਭੁਲਾਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ (ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤਦੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ) ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਦੋਂ (ਮੇਰਾ) ਇਹ ਮਨ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ) ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤਦੋਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਕਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।੨। 

ਤਿਲੰਗ ਮਃ ੧ ॥ ਇਆਨੜੀਏ ਮਾਨੜਾ ਕਾਇ ਕਰੇਹਿ ॥ ਆਪਨੜੈ ਘਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੋ ਕੀ ਨ ਮਾਣੇਹਿ ॥ ਸਹੁ ਨੇੜੈ ਧਨ ਕੰਮਲੀਏ ਬਾਹਰੁ ਕਿਆ ਢੂਢੇਹਿ ॥ ਭੈ ਕੀਆ ਦੇਹਿ ਸਲਾਈਆ ਨੈਣੀ ਭਾਵ ਕਾ ਕਰਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੋ ॥ ਤਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਲਾਗੀ ਜਾ ਸਹੁ ਧਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੋ ॥੧॥ ਇਆਣੀ ਬਾਲੀ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੇ ਜਾ ਧਨ ਕੰਤ ਨ ਭਾਵੈ ॥ ਕਰਣ ਪਲਾਹ ਕਰੇ ਬਹੁਤੇਰੇ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਮਹਲੁ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥ ਵਿਣੁ ਕਰਮਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਾਹੀ ਜੇ ਬਹੁਤੇਰਾ ਧਾਵੈ ॥ ਲਬ ਲੋਭ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਕੀ ਮਾਤੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥ ਇਨੀ ਬਾਤੀ ਸਹੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਾਹੀ ਭਈ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਇਆਣੀ ॥੨॥ ਜਾਇ ਪੁਛਹੁ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਵਾਹੈ ਕਿਨੀ ਬਾਤੀ ਸਹੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੋ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨੀਐ ਹਿਕਮਤਿ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਈਐ ॥ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਤਉ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈਐ ॥ ਸਹੁ ਕਹੈ ਸੋ ਕੀਜੈ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੋ ਦੀਜੈ ਐਸਾ ਪਰਮਲੁ ਲਾਈਐ ॥ ਏਵ ਕਹਹਿ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਭੈਣੇ ਇਨੀ ਬਾਤੀ ਸਹੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੩॥ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਈਐ ਤਾ ਸਹੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਅਉਰੁ ਕੈਸੀ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ॥ ਸਹੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖੈ ਸੋ ਦਿਨੁ ਲੇਖੈ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਸਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾ ਸਭਰਾਈ ॥ ਐਸੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਹਜ ਕੀ ਮਾਤੀ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਭਾਇ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਸਾਇ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਚਖਣਿ ਕਹੀਐ ਸਾ ਸਿਆਣੀ ॥੪॥੨॥੪॥

O most ignorant being! Why do you take such a bad pride? God is in your own heart-house, why do you not enjoy His (meeting)? O naive woman! The husband-Lord is dwelling near you (within you), why do you wander around in search of the outside world (forests etc.)? (If you want to see Him, then put the threads of fear and reverence (of the Lord) in your eyes of knowledge, and adorn yourself with the garland of the Lord's love.

A woman is considered to be blessed with a happy marriage and attached to the Lord's feet only when the Lord-Husband loves her.1.

(But) what can even an ignorant woman do if that woman is not pleasing to the Lord-Khasam? No matter how much such a living being may beg, she cannot find the palace of her husband-Lord. (The truth is that) no matter how much a living being may run and run, nothing is achieved without the gaze of the Lord's mercy.

If a living being remains intoxicated with the lust of the tongue, greed and ego (the former), and remains always immersed in the attachment of Maya (to wealth), then the Lord is not found for these reasons. That living being remains ignorant (who remains intoxicated with vices and yet thinks that she can please her husband-Lord).2.

(Those who have found their husband-Lord, of course) go and ask those who are blessed with a happy marriage, by what means one obtains the Lord of the worlds, (they answer that) give up cunning and pushing, consider whatever the Lord does as good and accept it (with all one's heart), attach your mind to the feet of the Lord, by whose love one obtains the Name and the things, do whatever the Lord of the worlds commands, surrender your body and mind to Him, that's all! Use this fragrance (for life). The women who are blessed with a happy marriage say that O sister! By these means alone one obtains the Lord of the worlds. 3.

The Lord of the worlds is obtained only when one removes ego. Without this, any other endeavor is a vain and deceitful endeavor. Consider that day (of life) successful when the husband-Lord looks with the eyes of mercy, (on whom) the wife (of the husband) looks (with mercy) as if she finds nine treasures.

O Nanak! The wife who is dear to her husband-Lord is blessed with a happy destiny, she attains respect and honor in the (worldly) family. The one who remains imbued with the love of the Lord, the one who remains intoxicated with steadfastness, the one who remains engrossed in the love of the Lord day and night, she is called beautiful, of beautiful form, intelligent and wise.4.2.4.

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੬ ਅਸਟਪਦੀ    ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਜੂਨੀ ਆਇਓ ਤਿਹ ਤਿਹ ਉਰਝਾਇਓ ਮਾਣਸ ਜਨਮੁ ਸੰਜੋਗਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ਤਾਕੀ ਹੈ ਓਟ ਸਾਧ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਦੇ ਕਰਿ ਹਾਥ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਅਨਿਕ ਜਨਮ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਥਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈ ॥ ਕਰਉ ਸੇਵਾ ਗੁਰ ਲਾਗਉ ਚਰਨ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਜੀ ਬਤਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਅਨਿਕ ਉਪਾਵ ਕਰਉ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਉ ਬਚਿਤਿ ਧਰਉ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਰਤ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਵਿਹਾਵੈ ॥ ਕੋਈ ਐਸੋ ਰੇ ਭੇਟੈ ਸੰਤੁ ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਹੈ ਸਗਲ ਚਿੰਤ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਮੇਰਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥੨॥ ਪੜੇ ਰੇ ਸਗਲ ਬੇਦ ਨਹ ਚੂਕੈ ਮਨ ਭੇਦ ਇਕੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਨ ਧੀਰਹਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਕੇ ਪੰਚਾ ॥ ਕੋਈ ਐਸੋ ਰੇ ਭਗਤੁ ਜੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਰਹਤੁ ਇਕੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਿੰਚਾ ॥੩॥ ਜੇਤੇ ਰੇ ਤੀਰਥ ਨਾਏ ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਲਾਏ ਘਰ ਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਮਾਨੈ ॥ ਕਦਿ ਪਾਵਉ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਇਸਨਾਨੈ ॥੪॥ ਸਗਲ ਅਸ੍ਰਮ ਕੀਨੇ ਮਨੂਆ ਨਹ ਪਤੀਨੇ ਬਿਬੇਕਹੀਨ ਦੇਹੀ ਧੋਏ ॥ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਈਐ ਰੇ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਲੁ ਖੋਏ ॥੫॥ ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਜੁਗਤਾ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਹੇਤੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਗਰਬਿ ਗਰਬਿ ਪੜੈ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਲੇਖੈ ॥ ਜਿਸੁ ਭੇਟੀਐ ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਕਰੈ ਸਦਾ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਕੋਊ ਨੇਤ੍ਰਹੁ ਪੇਖੈ ॥੬॥ ਮਨਹਠਿ ਜੋ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਲੇਖੈ ਪਾਵੈ ਬਗੁਲ ਜਿਉ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਲਾਵੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੇ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਕੋਈ ਐਸੋ ਰੇ ਸੁਖਹ ਦਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨਾਈ ਤਿਸੁ ਭੇਟੇ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੭॥ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਰਾਇ ਕਾਟੈ ਰੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਮਾਇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ॥ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦੁ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਸੁਖ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਾਧੇ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਪਰਾਤਾ ॥੮॥ ਸਫਲ ਸਫਲ ਭਈ ਸਫਲ ਜਾਤ੍ਰਾ ॥ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਾਧਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੧॥੩॥

ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:

Whoever is born into the world, is entangled in it; human birth is obtained only by good destiny. I look to Your support, O Holy Saint; give me Your hand, and protect me. By Your Grace, let me meet the Lord, my King. || 1 || I wandered through countless incarnations, but I did not find stability anywhere. I serve the Guru, and I fall at His feet, praying, “O Dear Lord of the Universe, please, show me the way.” || 1 || Pause || I have tried so many things to acquire the wealth of Maya, and to cherish it in my mind; I have passed my life constantly crying out, “Mine, mine!” Is there any such Saint, who would meet with me, take away my anxiety, and lead me to enshrine love for my Lord and Master. || 2 || I have read all the Vedas, and yet the sense of separation in my mind still has not been removed; the five thieves of my house are not quieted, even for an instant. Is there any devotee, who is unattached to Maya, who may irrigate my mind with the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the One Lord? || 3 || In spite of the many places of pilgrimage for people to bathe in, their minds are still stained by their stubborn ego; the Lord Master is not pleased by this at all. When will I find the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy? There, I shall be always in the ecstasy of the Lord, Har, Har, and my mind shall take its cleansing bath in the healing ointment of spiritual wisdom. || 4 || I have followed the four stages of life, but my mind is not satisfied; I wash my body, but it is totally lacking in understanding. If only I could meet some devotee of the Supreme Lord God, imbued with the Lord’s Love, who could eradicate the filthy evil-mindedness from my mind. || 5 || One who is attached to religious rituals, does not love the Lord, even for an instant; he is filled with pride, and he is of no account. One who meets with the rewarding personality of the Guru, continually sings the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises. By Guru’s Grace, such a rare one beholds the Lord with his eyes. || 6 || One who acts through stubbornness is of no account at all; like a crane, he pretends to meditate, but he is still stuck in Maya. Is there any such Giver of peace, who can recite to me the sermon of God? Meeting him, I would be emancipated. || 7 || When the Lord, my King, is totally pleased with mme, He will break the bonds of Maya for me; my mind is imbued with the Word of the Guru’s Shabad. I am in ecstasy, forever and ever, meeting the Fearless Lord, the Lord of the Universe. Falling at the Lord’s Feet, Nanak has found peace. || 8 || Second Pause || 1 || 3 ||

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੯ ॥ ਇਹ ਜਗਿ ਮੀਤੁ ਨ ਦੇਖਿਓ ਕੋਈ ॥ ਸਗਲ ਜਗਤੁ ਅਪਨੈ ਸੁਖਿ ਲਾਗਿਓ ਦੁਖ ਮੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਦਾਰਾ ਮੀਤ ਪੂਤ ਸਨਬੰਧੀ ਸਗਰੇ ਧਨ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੇ ॥ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਧਨ ਦੇਖਿਓ ਨਰ ਕਉ ਸੰਗੁ ਛਾਡਿ ਸਭ ਭਾਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਕਹਂਉ ਕਹਾ ਯਿਆ ਮਨ ਬਉਰੇ ਕਉ ਇਨ ਸਿਉ ਨੇਹੁ ਲਗਾਇਓ ॥ ਦੀਨਾ ਨਾਥ ਸਕਲ ਭੈ ਭੰਜਨ ਜਸੁ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਬਿਸਰਾਇਓ ॥੨॥ ਸੁਆਨ ਪੂਛ ਜਿਉ ਭਇਓ ਨ ਸੂਧਉ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਜਤਨੁ ਮੈ ਕੀਨਉ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਾਜ ਬਿਰਦ ਕੀ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੁਹਾਰਉ ਲੀਨਉ ॥੩॥੯॥ ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ (ਤੋੜ ਸਾਥ ਨਿਬਾਹੁਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਮਿੱਤਰ (ਮੈਂ) ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਜੁੱਟਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਚ (ਕੋਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ) ਨਾਲ (ਸਾਥੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਦਾ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ, ਮਿੱਤਰ, ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਧਨ ਨਾਲ (ਹੀ) ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ, (ਤਦੋਂ) ਸਾਥ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨੱਸ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੧। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਝੱਲੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਹ ਸਮਝਾਵਾਂ? (ਇਸ ਨੇ) ਇਹਨਾਂ (ਕੱਚੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ) ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ (ਇਸ ਨੇ) ਭੁਲਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।੨। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਦੀ ਪੂਛਲ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ (ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਲੋਂ ਲਾ-ਪਰਵਾਹੀ ਹਟਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ) ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਆਪਣੇ) ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦੇ (ਪਿਆਰ ਵਾਲੇ) ਸੁਭਾਵ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ ਰੱਖ (ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰ, ਤਾਂ ਹੀ) ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ।੩।੯। SORAT’H, NINTH MEHL: In this world, I have not found any true friend. The whole world is attached to its own pleasures, and when trouble comes, no one is with you. || 1 || Pause || Wives, friends, children and relatives — all are attached to wealth. When they see a poor man, they all forsake his company and run away. || 1 || So what should I say to this crazy mind, which is affectionately attached to them? The Lord is the Master of the meek, the Destroyer of all fears, and I have forgotten to praise Him. || 2 || Like a dog’s tail, which will never straighten out, the mind will not change, no matter how many things are tried. Says Nanak, please, Lord, uphold the honor of Your innate nature; I chant Your Name. || 3 || 9 || 

ਰਾਗੁ ਸੋਰਠਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਘਰੁ ੧ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਮਨ ਪਵਨੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਬਨਿਆ ॥ ਕਿਛੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਗਨਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਮਨ ਪਵਨੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਬਨਿਆ ॥ ਕਿਛੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਗਨਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਖਲਾਈ ਮੋਰੀ ॥ ਜਿਤੁ ਮਿਰਗ ਪੜਤ ਹੈ ਚੋਰੀ ॥ ਮੂੰਦਿ ਲੀਏ ਦਰਵਾਜੇ ॥ ਬਾਜੀਅਲੇ ਅਨਹਦ ਬਾਜੇ ॥੧॥ ਕੁੰਭ ਕਮਲੁ ਜਲਿ ਭਰਿਆ ॥ ਜਲੁ ਮੇਟਿਆ ਊਭਾ ਕਰਿਆ ॥ ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਜਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥ ਜਉ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਤਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੨॥੧੦॥ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੇਰੇ) ਪਉਣ (ਵਰਗੇ ਚੰਚਲ) ਮਨ ਨੂੰ (ਹੁਣ) ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ) ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਜੋਗਾ ਥੋੜਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।ਰਹਾਉ।(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਹ) ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰੀ ਵਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਪਸ਼ੂ ਅਡੋਲ ਹੀ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਆ ਦਬਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ; (ਸੋ, ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ) ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ (ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ: ਪਰ ਨਿੰਦਾ, ਪਰ ਤਨ, ਪਰ ਧਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਵਲੋਂ) ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ ਤੇ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ) ਵਾਜੇ ਇੱਕ-ਰਸ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ।੧।(ਮੇਰਾ) ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਕਮਲ ਰੂਪ ਘੜਾ (ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ) ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, (ਹੁਣ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ) ਪਾਣੀ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ) ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਕਬੀਰ! ਹੁਣ) ਆਖ-ਮੈਂ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ) ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ (ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ) ਗਿੱਝ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।੨।੧੦।ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ: ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੱਲਾ ਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਹੱਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਮਨ ਚੰਚਲਤਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਹਟ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧੦।O Saints, my windy mind has now become peaceful and still. It seems that I have learned something of the science of Yoga. || Pause || The Guru has shown me the hole, through which the deer carefully enters. I have now closed off the doors, and the unstruck celestial sound current resounds. || 1 || The pitcher of my heart-lotus is filled with water; I have spilled out the water, and set it upright. Says Kabeer, the Lord’s humble servant, this I know. Now that I know this, my mind is pleased and appeased. || 2 || 10 ||

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਿਆ ਕਰ। ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਗਨਕਾ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬਣੋਂ) ਬਚ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਤੂੰ ਭੀ, (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖ।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਧ੍ਰੂ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਿਰਭੈਤਾ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਦਰਜਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ, ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਹੀ (ਗਜ ਨੇ) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਉਹ ਗਜ (ਹਾਥੀ) ਤੰਦੂਏ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਤਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦੱਸਾਂ? ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ (ਹਾਥੀ) ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਏ ਸਨ।੨।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਜਾਮਲ ਵਿਕਾਰੀ ਸੀ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਅੱਖ ਦੇ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਮੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਾਰ-ਉਤਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੂੰ) ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚਿਤਵਨੀਆਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ। ਤੂੰ ਭੀ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ।੩।੪।

SORAT’H, NINTH MEHL:

O mind, contemplate the Sanctuary of God. Meditating on Him in remembrance, Ganika the prostitute was saved; enshrine His Praises within your heart. || 1 || Pause || Meditating on Him in remembrance, Dhroo became immortal, and obtained the state of fearlessness. The Lord and Master removes suffering in this way — why have you forgotten Him? || 1 || As soon as the elephant took to the protective Sanctuary of the Lord, the ocean of mercy, he escaped from the crocodile. How much can I describe the Glorious Praises of the Naam? Whoever chants the Lord’s Name, his bonds are broken. || 2 || Ajaamal, known throughout the world as a sinner, was redeemed in an instant. Says Nanak, remember the Chintaamani, the jewel which fulfills all desires, and you too shall be carried across and saved. || 3 || 4 ||

ਤਿਲੰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਕਥਾ ਕਹਾਣੀਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੀਤਿ ਸੁਣਾਈਆ ॥ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਆ ॥੧॥ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੁ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੁ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਦੇ ਸੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਏ ॥ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਘੁਮਿ ਘੁਮਿ ਜਾਏ ॥੨॥ ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ॥ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੩॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਦੁਖ ਮੇਟਣਹਾਰਾ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥੪॥ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ॥ ਤਿਨ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਾ ॥੫॥ ਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ॥ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੇਵਦੇ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੬॥ ਜਿਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਪਿਰਹੜੀ ਤਿਨਾ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਲੇ ॥ ਓਇ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਜੀਵਦੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥੭॥ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਘੁਮਿ ਜਾਇਆ ॥ ਓਇ ਆਪਿ ਛੁਟੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਸਿਉ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਛਡਾਇਆ ॥੮॥ ਗੁਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਧੰਨੋ ॥ ਗੁਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਦਸਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਵਡ ਪੁੰਨੋ ॥੯॥ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਦੇ ਸੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੧੦॥ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਆ ਸੇ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਈਆ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੈਨਾਈਆ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਈਆ ॥੧੧॥ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਤਿਨ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ ॥ ਹਮ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਪਖਾਲਦੇ ਧੂੜਿ ਘੋਲਿ ਘੋਲਿ ਪੀਜੈ ॥੧੨॥ ਪਾਨ ਸੁਪਾਰੀ ਖਾਤੀਆ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੀੜੀਆ ਲਾਈਆ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਚੇਤਿਓ ਜਮਿ ਪਕੜਿ ਚਲਾਈਆ ॥੧੩॥ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਿਆ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥ ਤਿਨ ਜਮੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਗੁਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧੪॥ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਣੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਮਾਣੈ ॥੧੫॥ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਆਖੀਐ ਤੁਸਿ ਕਰੇ ਪਸਾਓ ॥ ਹਉ ਗੁਰ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਸਦ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਦਿਤੜਾ ਨਾਓ ॥੧੬॥ ਸੋ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਬਾਸਿ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਇ ਸਨੇਹਾ ॥ ਹਉ ਵੇਖਿ ਵੇਖਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਿਗਸਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੇਹਾ ॥੧੭॥ ਗੁਰ ਰਸਨਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ॥ ਜਿਨ ਸੁਣਿ ਸਿਖਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਤਿਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਸਭ ਜਾਵੀ ॥੧੮॥ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਆਖੀਐ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਖਰਚੁ ਲੈ ਜਾਈਐ ॥੧੯॥ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਸੇ ਸਾਹ ਵਡ ਦਾਣੇ ॥ ਹਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਸਦ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ॥੨੦॥ ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਤੂ ਸਾਹਿਬੋ ਤੂਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੀਰਾ ॥ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਤੂ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰਾ ॥੨੧॥ ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਇਕ ਰੰਗੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੀ ॥ ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਸਾਈ ਗਲ ਚੰਗੀ ॥੨੨॥੨॥
